Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Communicates patient's needs and response through appropriate verbal and written communications. Negotiates "win-win" solutions to situations as appropriate. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices. Regularly assumes responsibility and provides direct care for the more complex patients. Provides assistance to colleagues in recognizing, interpreting, and managing unstable patient care situations. Provides quality care to patient during procedures. Takes precautions to minimize patient and staff exposure to radiation. Assists with patient and family education. Functions independently, can coordinates in Clinical Specialist's absence. Precepts one health care provider/year when applicable. May support or assist in research and related activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology. Current ARRT licensure. Minimum three years clinical experience and one year experience in area of concentration. Advanced Certification required. Minimum expectation: .5 FTE/20 hours per week.
