BASIC FUNCTION: Position responsible for assisting physicians in the cath lab as part of a team who performs both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures being proficient in all aspects of Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, requiring minimal supervision for participation in the development of clinical pathways and monitoring of performance outcomes for serving as a Team Leader and expert in the specialty.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles. Specific age groups that are served by this position are circled.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating both Behaviors and Operating Principles in all internal and external customer interactions. Performs duties with accountability, competency, innovation, collaboration, compassion and respect to create the best possible outcomes with exceptional customer experiences.
2. Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas or certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or Registration/Certification as a Cardiac Invasive Specialist OR Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology and licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist with Certification by the State of Texas as a Radiological Technologist and two years work experience as a Staff Radiographer.
3. Current certification in Basic Life Support.
4. Three years experience in a Cardiac Cath Laboratory.
5. ACLS preferred.
Required: EP, Scrub, Pan, table, carotid cases, ICDs, etc.
