Special Procedures Technician 2-5 Yrs

Job Description:
 

1.Performs mammography studies as per*MQSA standards.
2.Completes cases in IDX-Rad.
3.Maintains assigned rooms in order and properly stocked.
4.Notifies the Mammography Supervisor and the Technical Administrator of
any equipment failures.
5.Prepares the mammography rooms for all procedures. i.e. needle
localizations.
6.Documents findings relative to calibrating stereotactic equipment on the
checklist. Informs the Mammography Supervisor, Attending Radiologist
on duty or the Technical Administrator of all malfunctions.
7.Returns all equipments used for stereotactic calibrations to the designated
storage area.
8.Other job related duties, as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
 

1.Graduate of AMA-approved radiography program.
2.N.Y.S Radiographic Licensure.
3.Mammography Certification from the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists.
4.Six credits-of mammography-specific continuing education annually.
5.Submission of renewed license and certificate(s) of continuing education
to Mammography Supervisor in a timely fashion.
