Per Diem Echocardiograph Technician
Mount Sinai Medical Center, Queens, NY
(Per Diem/Locum)

Job Description:
 

Must be able to competently perform echocardiogram, 2-dimensional study, motion-mode study, doppler study, transesophogeal echo study and to participate in the performance of various stress echo testing with cardiologists and other skilled technicians.

Knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures to include taking vital signs and measurements, positioning patients and explaining procedures; review medical histories of patients.
Maintain liaison with physicians and staff to resolve problems and to advise concerning echocardiography procedures, techniques and equipment.

Job Qualifications:
 

Graduate of an accredited school of ultrsound diagnostic medical sonography
Bachelor of Science degree preferred
1-2 years of clinical experience in performing echocardiograms
