Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs digital mammographic procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting breast pathology. Performs procedures utilizing breast Immobilization devices and mammogram digital x-ray equipment. Functions using independent
Judgment, initiative, and ingenuity when performing procedures. Manages and monitors equipment used to display the study on PACS. Develops and organizes diagnostic quality studies prior to sending them to the radiologist for interpretation. Requires the ability to work with adults and
geriatric patients. Responsible for delivering high quality service, and to interact appropriately with patient and their representatives, physicians, and co-workers. Safely manages the environment of care while providing services.
Graduate of a two (2) year accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M). Current MRT license with the Texas Department of Health. Appropriate experience as determined by the Manager of Medical Imaging, and/or Director of Medical Imaging. CPR Certification.
