Description

Assists with coordination of activities of the Nuclear Medicine Department.  Supervises the preparing, administering and measuring of radioactive isotopes for use in therapeutic, diagnostic and tracer studies.  Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies.  Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric.  Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.  Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all Joint Commission, federal, state and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.  Works with students from affiliated radiology schools.


Qualifications

Registered with NMTCB and/or ARRT; SCQRSA certification; current BLS; one year exp under a board certified radiologist preferred
