Responsible for the planning, organizing staffing and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the Department. To function in cooperation with the leadership team in developing plans, policies and procedures to efficiently and effectively meet the objective of providing quality care.
The Department Director assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a 24 hour basis. Responsible for meeting JCAHO Standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, for managing supplies and equipment on the unit, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management.
Bachelors Degree
RT or ARRT
More than 5 years experience in related position
Knowledge and Skills:
1. General office procedures
2. Medical terminology
3. Advanced record keeping
4. Computer operation and functionality
5. Skilled in the use of computer software for statistical data, spreadsheets, word processing.
6. Demonstrate the ability to maintain high standard of confidentiality.
7. Ability to communicate with patients regarding age related circumstances
