**Part Time Wednesday & Friday position** 

 

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES

- The HIM Document Imaging Technician I is responsible for efficiently and accurately scanning medical record documents into the Horizon Patient Folder (HPF)document imaging system.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Identifies and scans documents according to policies and procedures.
  • Maintains or exceeds established quality standards.
  • Maintains or exceeds the following productivity standard:
  • Scanning: 5000 images/hour (2500 paper pages per hour).
  • Monitors imaging system daily for scanning errors and/or requests
  • Participates at regular intervals in quality scanning audits as designated by HIM Service Center (HSC) and/or HIM Document Imaging leadership.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of scanning equipment.
  • Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and the "Mission and Value Statement."
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalency

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year HIM (Health Information Management) Assembly experience.
  • 1 year experience in an office environment preferred.
